May 2020

We pray that you are all well and safe during this strange time of quarantine. Our families in Romania are going through a difficult time also. If they want to go out, they have to have a paper to go shopping for food or to work. The girls with jobs in the factories are still working but many are having to stay home, like our secretary and her husband in Sibiu. Our missionary, Ted Olson, and his group had planned a trip to Romania this past Spring but because of the virus, they had to postpone the trip. We hope it will work out for the Fall. We realize this is a rough time for many and we do not expect anyone to give to the following need unless it is something they feel led to do. The Remus and Maria Bors family have 5 children. Daria is 7, Debora is 5, Ruth is 4, the twins, Simion and Abigail, are almost 1. They live with Remus father and all sleep in one bedroom. There are other family members that live with him also. So this is a very crowded situation. Here is Maria's story: "A long time ago the Lord promised me that He would give me a house and take care of our family. I always hoped that house would be upstairs at the church, but I haven't had that feeling for about 2 months. I prayed a lot and the Lord said that my house would not be there and it would be just the church. Yesterday a neighbor came and said that she wants to sell her house because her son has cancer and she really needs money. She has the house right in front of where we live. They haven't lived in their house in a long time. The house has no water or gas, just electricity. She first asked for 20,000 euros on the land and the house, but I said that we have nowhere to get so much money. In the end, she said it would be 7,000 euros (about $7,600). It's a blessing! I can't find a house with this price anywhere. I prayed so much and said "God you know I don't have this money but you promised to give me a house". I pray that God works through people and I can collect this money. Remus will go to Norway next month to work to help pay for the house. He will go as soon as customs open." We have known Maria since she was 13 years old. Patricia ministered to her family in Sibiu. This is a Christian family trusting the Lord to provide. If you feel led to help her, please write "Bors house" on your check. God bless and keep you all well.

If you would like to bless the Bors family, you can send your check to:
